This makes no sense

maxknightley

it literally could not be more straightforward

thatguyfromthatwebsite

It literally doesnt make sence, both have the same value, they're both $30

I think the failure of many people to grasp an incredibly simple, barebones metaphor is demonstrating implicit bias very well

This dude straight up stated the fucking answer and still can’t understand it, because he’s expecting the answer to be his own views lmao

thatguyfromthatwebsite

No im not expecting anything its just a badly frammed metaphor

sapper-in-the-wire-old

Bro you said the answer. Both have the same value despite different sizes. It’s simple. Basic. Elementary.

thatguyfromthatwebsite

But it never says that, it just asks you wich one is greater and the text ends there, wich leads you to thinking that one indeed has greater value then the other, and that the one with the greater value is the answear

sapper-in-the-wire-old

It asks you which one has the greater value and what is the answer to that question?

thatguyfromthatwebsite

Im not about to argue over a focken tit size metaphor

sapper-in-the-wire-old

Never underestimate the lack of reading comprehension on this site lmfao

There are a variety of claims as to the etymology of the term 'banjo' (for one thing, I'm familiar with it as a Nigerian family name), but from the similarity banjos have with the akonting, which especially common in the Senegambia region of West Africa, it seems likely that it relates to the Mandinka derived word 'Banjul' (i'm not a Mandinka speaker, but bang julo apparently means 'rope' and Banjul has been the name of Gambia's capital since 1816)

so late one night ages ago i was down an internet rabbit hole about the history of american folk music or something like that and found this really rad online interactive history project from duke university called musical passage

basically, in 1688 hans sloane, a british naturalist and physician who spent some time in jamaica practicing medicine and collecting cultural and ecological artifact, hired a "mr. baptiste" (who may have been a black and/or mixed race freedman) to attend a festival of black musicians and note down the music they played. being european musical notation, the resulting records aren't perfect, but the results published by sloane in 1707 are some of the best records we have of music in the early african diaspora

you can listen to musicians' interpretation of the music notated on musical passage's website, on the project's sound cloud, or performed live at a 2017 workshop at the institute of jamaica in kingston, jamaica. the project includes annotations of the written music that provide a lot of interesting context, too, so i really recommend checking it out

I like hypnosis for what it is.

I like having things changed because they can be. I'm not as set on what happens specifically as I am with the idea of being changed and altered in some way.

So moments where I'm extremely turned on, but that's not part of the current instructions, have been so eye-opening. I'm just so excited that some things happened, even if I can't notice it at the time. My body is like SOMETHING HAPPENED, AND WE LOVE IT!!!!

the fact that none of the night at the museum movies were rated over 50% by critics is a reminder that some ppl don’t know how to have fun. the first two movies were flawless. a night watch guard has to babysit museum displays that come to life, complete w old school villains and endless historical crossovers? incredible concept, incredible execution
